Youth Mental Health First Aid

Unlock the power to make a positive difference in the lives of young individuals with the Kellin Foundation's free Youth Mental Health First Aid Workshop. This workshop is tailored to equip parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens with the essential skills to provide support to adolescents (ages 12-18) facing mental health or addiction challenges.

About the Workshop:

Geared towards those who regularly engage with young people, the workshop introduces participants to the nuances of adolescent mental health challenges. It delves into typical adolescent development and introduces a comprehensive 5-step action plan to offer assistance in both crisis and non-crisis situations. From anxiety and depression to substance use disorders and conditions involving psychosis, such as schizophrenia, the workshop addresses a wide spectrum of mental health challenges that youth might experience.
